Next Generation 9-1-1
We work with many rural counties and municipalities training them and enabling them with complete solutions in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online and mobile mapping applications running on smartphones and tablets to prepare for the transition from Enhanced 9-1-1 to Next Generation 9-1-1 by 2020.
ArcGIS Online Specialty Partner
We are an Esri business partner and reseller. We sell ArcGIS software and have enabled enabled many clients to use web mapping throughout the organization with ArcGIS Online. We are one of a few dozen Esri partners worldwide that have achieved ArcGIS Online Specialty status.
Web Maps for Communities & Non Profits
The United Way of Yellowstone County, serving Billings, Montana and the surrounding county hired Geodata Services, Inc. to provide training and develop a new Maps and Stats program. Supporting the Best Beginnings early childhood collaboration and other programs, the goal was to provide web maps on reading proficiency, housing, crime, food and medicine insecurities, healthy family activities, demographic and economic characteristics.
Health and Human Services
We have provided health related geospatial analysis for private hospitals and public health care organizations. Services have included preparing custom story maps and dashboards for the Montana Department of Health and Human Services on Youth Tobacco Use Prevention, Diabetes and pre-diabetes and health services. As another example, we provided training and analysis to the Billings Clinic geocoding and analyzing their hospital patient records and a collaborative project with Riverstone, the public health department in Billings.
Conservation on Public & Private Lands
For many years Geodata Services has worked with national conservation groups, public agencies at the state and federal level, and local communities and local land trusts. We have provided mapping services to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation for more than 20 years and assisted them in preparing and maintaining a national elk range map. We provide ongoing analytical GIS service support for several national conservation groups. We have worked on multiple ecoregional projects for the Departments of Agriculture and Interior and state Natural Resource Departments.
Local Government Infrastructure & Operations
Low cost commercial of the shelf software solutions such as ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online and mobile mapping applications have become powerful and affordable enough that many rural counties and towns are maintaining their own software systems for daily operations and maintenance. For example, we are working with communities to maintain GIS for their water, stormwater and wastewater systems, along with other infrastructure including roads, bridges, structure addresses and planning.
Telecommunications and Broadband
We worked with the states of Montana and North Dakota for five years to prepare the first map of broadband availability for wired and wireless coverage through the National Broadband Program and Map, under the National Telecommunications Information Agency in the Department of Commerce. We continue to work with individual telecommunications companies throughout the US to provide regular reports to the FCC such as the Form 477 reports and HUBB reporting, and assist them in implementing their own GIS systems.
